Tips for Stainless Steel Machining.

Here are a list of tips for stainless steel machining:

1. Use a tool that has higher thermal-conductivity

See firstly the Low thermal-conductivity of stainless steels accelerates tool for the wear of a resulting from a decline in the hardness of the cutting edge of an insert, this is mainly due to the heat piling up. It is the better to use a tool that has a very higher thermal conductivity and get it with an enough coolant.

2. Sharper cutting edge-line

It is too much necessary to proper utilize a larger rake-angles and a wider chip-breaker lands to comes for the reduce of as a cutting-load pressure and prevent build-up on the edge. This will mostly help us to provide a better chip control to an operator.

3. Optimal cutting condition

Inappropriate components for the machining conditions like extremely as a very low or high speeds or low feeds can cause of the poor tool life due to work hardening of work pieces.

4. Choose an appropriate tool

Tools for the stainless steel should have a good toughness of the attributes, and the enough of strength on their edge line (cutting edge) & a higher film adhesion.
